Dingoo A320 Review

So I just received my A320 gameyeeeah.com Dingoo weeks ago and after checking a few games, movies and music, what I thought I'll write something. Overall I am impressed by the portable game system, although it has some drawbacks of software that will hopefully be improved or corrected.

First, to assess each emulators emulator graphics, audio, control and entertainment 1-10 (1 = low, 10 = excellent)

Note: The controls for all emulators: For some reason you can not press Y and B at the same time, such as Mario If you choose a shell, and Mario jumps down the tank After the jump, can be solved by changing the buttons, but I hope the developers fix the updated firmware.

Game Boy Advance Emulator

10/10 Perfect Image – No complaints here. It looks like it on my GBA. N frameskip deficiencies or graphics in one of the games tested: Sonic Advance, Metroid Fusion, The Legend of Zelda Minish Cap, Super Mario Advance 2, Advance Wars, Final Fantasy 6 in advance.

Perfect Sound 10/10 – do not jump on the music or sound effects

Control 10/10 No problem, but the key problem of the current Y in all emulators. Buttons 2 buttons worked shoulder to the face.

10/10 entertainment, no complaints. I can not think of anything wrong with it.

Note: There is nothing more to say. Perfect competition as I can tell.

Nintendo Entertainment System emulator

Image 10/10 Perfect – Games tested: DuckTales, Super Mario Brothers Super Mario Brothers 3, Tiny Toons 2, Ninja Gaiden

Perfect Sound 10/10 – do not jump on the music or sound effects

Control 10/10 No problem, but the Y-button issue in all emulators.

10/10 entertainment, no complaints. I can not think anything wrong with this emulator either.

Note: There is nothing more to say.

Super Nintendo Emulator

Image 7 / 10 – games do not work fully at normal speed. Some run too slow, others too fast. Playing with the parameters frameskip was not resolved to a satisfactory level. Despite decent and playable, art for some games in conjunction with sound problems (see below) significantly affects for entertainment. Games tested: Diddy Kong's Quest, Chrono Trigger, Castlevania 5, Mega Man X, Tetris Attack, Turtles in Time.

Sound: 4 / 10 – The because frameskip, music in most games tested was turned off, jumping, and just listen to the pain. The sound effects are great, but seeing as how SNES is one of the best video games in the history of music, the EMU was a big disappointment.

Control 8 / 10 – It seems that the problem with some games to capture all 6 buttons. Not all games use buttons 6 and SNES, but many do. Y key issue here.

Entertainment 7 / 10 – Decent. Some games are more pleasant sound. Skipping and distorted music was simply too distracting for me.

Note: I hope that the speed (and sound quality) emulator can and will be better in terms of NES and GBA emu so that we can all enjoy the music amazing Chrono Trigger, Diddy Kong Quest and Final Fantasy always and everywhere. Setting frameskip 2 makes it a lot play games with sound.

Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) emulator

Image 1 / 10 Oh! Worst graphics emulation. Image has Scanlines on moving objects (as in most games screens every move, the whole screen is distorted and fuzzy. It makes all the games impossible for me. Frameskip is also very important. It seems there are more scan lines, where there is more action on the screen, and less when it is less happening. Games tested: The Adventures of Batman and Robin, Ecco, Gunstar Heroes, Sonic and Knuckles, Vectorman, Mortal Kombat 2, 3 Shinobi.

Sound 7 / 10 sound effects have been nice if a little noisy. Although the music was not exactly playing at normal speed, it is good for most games.

Control 8 / 10 Although it is possible to configure the controller buttons 6 buttons do not work button 6 games (Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3)

and the Y-button issue in all emulators.

Entertainment 1 / 10 – frameskip scanline graphics and combined with a slight distortion of sound and valid games in Sega Genesis games impossible.

Note: If Dingoo can emulate arcade games as well, it must be some way to create Genesis games run better than it is today.

CPS1 Emulator

Untested!

Did not even good for CPS1 games? No you can not download any research.

CPS2 Emulator

Image 6 / 10 – Fighting games were slow and impossible. UPS beat works well. Games tested: Street Fighter Alpha 3, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men: Children of the atom, Alien Vs Predator, Giga Wing.

Sound 10/10 – After removal the game is not working properly, the rest had excellent sound.

Control – 7 / 10 keypad not built to fight the game. After the abolition of games that do not work properly, and logical controls beatemups works well.

Fun – 9 / 10 Alien Vs Predator and Giga Wing excellent job. I do not intend Dingoo fighting games on anyway.

Note: Even if it is to be done, because a manipulator is incapable of fighting games and other games run perfect or very good, I would say that the developer give a low priority for fixing this emulator, and focus on the Megadrive, and not just END.

Neo Geo Emulator

Graphics 8 / 10 – Neo Geo games are impressive on the small screen, very sharp and clear. Frameskip noticeable where there a lot of action. Metal Slug seems unlikely, though imperfect, with the slowdown. Games tested: Metal Slug 3, X, Blazing Star, Sonic Wing 2, the last Blade.

Sound 7 / 10 – Due frameskip, music is a bit off, usually slower than normal.

Control – 10/10 – no problems playing with the controls UPS shootem.

Fun – 8 / 10 games and proved to be most effective. Setting frameskip 6 Metal Slug seems to be more stable.

Note: I would like that if these games can stay closer to normal speed, especially for Metal Slug. According to the CPS2 games, the Hit or Miss. Some games work well and others do not, or are not legible.

Emulators I'm happy, Perfect Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS

Good / decent emulators: Neo Geo, CPS2

Emulators for improvement: Megadrive, Super Nintendo

Dingoo General:

– 3D games I have bought Dingoo to follow, but after checking in 3D games from 7 days, has good graphics and interesting design.

– Movies playing well, he saved some old drawings Anime to watch when I'm bored. Playback organized in terms of size (I'm guessing) and not by name, a file named Batman 1 Batman 2 Batman 3 will appear and play in about 3 Batman, Batman 1 Batman 2 Any way to fix this?

– Radio works well, even if it took some time for me to understand how to define and save the station. I still do not understand how to turn on the radio before entering the main menu. (Guilloche play completely off)

– Recorder is cool. I wonder if I ever use.

– Picture Viewer net. Reader eBook Library unproven. I thought to PDF, TXT, lasts only. Displays text on the menu background image, if not white, it can be hard on the eyes.

– TV unproven, others seem to think it's good.

Competition Notes:

– Some games may Dingoo crash. Do not panic, as I am. Lolz. The screen will be pasted on the black and will not be able to turn off or exit from EMU. Everything you need to do is to use a PIN or tootpick reset button on the left side, next to the DEPA.

– First frameskip himself (instead of auto) makes some games work better.

– It seems to turn the sound takes a few games for a great job.

My general conclusion of the A320 Dingoo, is that I'm happy with the system. How is it that plays music and movies well, the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo and some games CPS2 and Neo Geo.

I hope developers come out with better versions of these emulators, quickly established control issues.
