In yet another Tenchi spin-off series, Sasami plays the role of average fifth grade girl who happens to have magical powers. On the first day of school, her and her friends decide to join the cooking club, which is under the supervision of the new school nurse, Washu. Their first task? Cook the cabbit! When the main course runs away, Sasami and brooding-loner-girl Misao chase after it, only to find themselves stuck together in a cave of sorts, where Misao reveals her own magical power: the ability to sprout worms! … Ew. Suddenly Ryo-Ohki becomes belligerent, and the two must ward off the now jumbo-sized rodent.
Obnoxious characters, somniferous plot, sparkles. Frankly, I’m ashamed I sat through the whole thing. Tried it out of Tenchi-related curiosity, won’t be watching it again.
