I wanted the color tones to still be bright, but slightly darker than what I usually go with. Everything has a nice glossy shine, and I tried to give the face a bit more expression. The skin was a bit of a hassle, especially working around all the outfit details, but otherwise things went fairly smoothly. I like how complete the image looks in general.

I pulled the rough sketch into Illustrator and cleaned things up quite a bit. I’m really happy with the lineart in general, it’s one of my favorites. All the fishnet and belts and such give it a nice, detailed appearance. I like the shoes and the shorts in particular, and the way the seams flow around them.

This rough sketch wasn’t meant to look nice or pretty, it was just a guide to use for the lineart process. I worked mostly with outlines and detailed where I needed, like the face and parts of the outfit. The legs are a bit overly elongated, but that was easy enough to correct in the next phase. Otherwise, as far as roughs go, I rather liked it.
